An AWS Advanced Partner is looking for a Solutions Architect to join the team, fully remote in the UK.

Take the lead on customer scoping and design calls to gather requirements, build a project scope and time to deliver an estimate for the project!

Experience:

* 4+ years' experience designing & building solutions in AWS
* Experience with gathering project scope, requirements & designs
* Experience with Serverless
* Experience in quoting the time to delivery based on multiple skill sets within the team
* Experience in writing Statements of Work, including high-level architectural designs
* 4+ years' experience with core AWS Services
* 2+ years' experience with modernisation legacy architectures, experience in designing and building AWS serverless solutions and best practices of deployment
* Experience migrating customers from on-premise environments to the cloud

You will get the chance to utilise the latest versions of Java, Scala, work with microservices, cross-train into different tech and always follow best practice such as TDD / Unit Testing / CI/CD

What do I need to see?

* Strong expertise in Scala is essential
* Or a tech wizard in Java with 4 years commercial experience as a minimum. Spring & Hibernate too
* Proven experience working to agile delivery
* TDD & Unit testing would be really beneficial and would help beat your market competition.
* Overall positive attitude and show genuine passion for the field
* Knowledgeable on all SOLID principles
* Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
* Previous consultancy experience will be beneficial but by no means essential

Who we are:

As an Advanced AWS Partner, our AWS certified Engineers and Solutions Architects work with customers to help design and build the optimum balance of scalability, security, availability and affordability for their AWS hosted platforms. We are an AWS accredited partner for Education customers, we also hold the Well-Architected Framework Certification.

The role:

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be part of our Manage Services team, helping resolve complex issues including priority 1 outages and non-standard tickets. You'll be bringing AWS best practises to our clients infrastructure and identifying opportunities for improvements. You'll be working in Cloud Native environments and have exposure to projects with AWS Serverless.

Progression:

Within 2yrs of the role you can expect progression into a fully-fledged AWS architect and this role will provide a full training pathway for this as well as for all AWS certifications.

Experience we are looking for:

* Cloud technologies, AWS
* Strong experience infrastructure as code, we use Cloudformation
* Linux background/Sysadmin skillset
